The Rainshader has been designed specifically for viewing sporting events. The Rainshader is based on the traditional motor helmet and arguably its design allows the spectator more protection from the elements than any other umbrella in the world. Ideal for track and field it also has fibre glass ribs and a rubber handle and is therefore less conductive than steel framed umbrellas when caught in open areas during electrical storms.
The Rainshader has undergone extensive wind tunnel tests at Coventry University UK and has been tested up to Gale Force 7 without blowing inside out remaining intact against conventional umbrellas that failed well before.
