To create a tequila that is smooth enough to sip, Casa Dragones started with the centuries-old art of tequila making and modernized it through an innovative process. The result is a tequila unlike any other. Casa Dragones is uniquely smooth, with a refined character and softer finish. And because it’s a sipping tequila, Casa Dragones is meant to be savored slowly, one sip at a time.
The signature taste of Casa Dragones is what makes them unique. By focusing on creating a smoother, more refined tequila, they softened the intensity to diminish any “wince” or harsh aftertaste. One sip and you’ll immediately taste the difference. Casa Dragones is 100% Blue Agave Joven Tequila: elegantly smooth and perfect for sipping.
It’s their innovative process that ultimately sets Casa Dragones apart, producing an exceptionally smooth taste on your palate, and a clean, extra soft finish. They multiple-distill their tequila with pure spring water, through an advanced column process that removes any natural impurities. The brilliant platinum color of Casa Dragones, which heralds the delicate aroma, is achieved using an ultra-modern filtration system.
Casa Dragones Maestro Tequilero hand finishes the process, adding the perfect amount of extra añejo tequila, rested in American oak barrels for over 5 years, to balance the taste. This final touch results in 100% Blue Agave Joven Tequila, one of the five official classifications of tequila, defined by this delicate blend of platinum and extra añejo.
It’s very common for tequila companies to create several styles of tequila at once. They do something different. Casa Dragones is committed to the perfection of one style of tequila only: a uniquely smooth sipping tequila. It’s their focus and attention to detail that ensures an exceptional taste and the highest possible quality.
Their Maestro Tequilero and a select group from the Academia Mexicana de Catadores de Tequila (Mexican Academy of Tequila Tasters) participated in writing their tasting notes.
