rvnDSGN is a boutique watch brand established in 2011 as the vision of award winning industrial designer zach raven. rvnDSGN timepieces are the first of their kind, completely built using the latest in 3D additive manufacturing technology. Designed in solid titanium, one of the newest and most precise methods of 3D printing, the beauty of the manufacturing process shows the story of its creation through subtle grain on the case, allowing each watch to be unique. Each rvnDSGN timepieces is completely handmade in the United States per order; this takes a little longer, however the customer is buying a watch made specifically for them. rvnDSGN uses only the highest quality materials including; Swiss ETA 7-jewel movements, laser-sintered titanium, and handmade leather nubuck straps.
The first of their kind, rvnDSGN timepieces are manufactured using the latest in 3d printing technology. This process allows rvnDSGN to design parts that could not otherwise be made by conventional manufacturing processes. It begins with a bed of fine titanium powder, a laser then fuses the powder layer by layer until the final form is revealed. The sintering process leaves a subtle texture to the surface of the case telling the story of its manufacture. This texture can vary from a medium to dark gray, with a fine to medium texture; each piece is unique.
rvnDSGN has partnered with the venerable Worn & Wound to supply their straps. Their American leather nato style strap is rugged yet casual and perfectly complements the series:1 line. the 20mm straps are designed and made in New York City and come in two colors; the slightly pebbled graphite nubuck is complemented with matte silver hardware, the gold nubuck uses contrasting black hardware, and the smooth brick nubuck also uses matte silver hardware. a modern take on a classic style.
