The design of the Laccio coffee table has already been coined by Marcel Breuer in 1925. The table with the characteristic U-shape frame is also known as Bauhaus table and presents a modern and simultaneously timeless design.
Initially the Laccio couch table was used as stool, until it finally found utility as a table. The table frame consists of steel tube – a material with which Breuer experimented for years before he used it for the Laccio couch table among others. The designer Breuer has been fascinated about forming never ending shapes out of steel rod and then designed a series of different steel tube furniture pieces.
Breuer wanted to create “apartments of today’s life” with his designs and especially focused on making his products demountable and hygienic. The Laccio coffee table fulfils these demands and is moreover a high quality design classic since many years.
The table board of the Laccio coffee table is made out of plastic laminate and available in white, red or black. The round-tube-steel made frame is shaped seamless and high glossy chromed. The rectangular Laccio model is moreover combinable with a smaller, square edition of the Laccio coffee table.
