You misplaced your keys. You forgot your phone after driving away. Your cat ran away. Everyone can think of a time when they have driven off without something important, or misplaced an item and had to deal with the stress of being late; life is hectic enough without the added frustration. Bringrr is launching two innovative Bluetooth Low Energy devices to prevent anyone from losing their items, forgetting them before they drive away, or misplacing them by rallying a community together to safely and securely track down missing items. Through a Kickstarter campaign, Bringrr has raised $76,561 to begin production for its small devices that prevent people from misplacing or driving away without their important things.
Bringrr is a patented car charger and reminder device. There are many other products that use bluetooth to locate items, however when Bringrr is combined with BringTags and the Bringrr App, the competition falls short. If an item does manage to get further than the normal 50-150ft range of bluetooth, the versatility and distance covered makes it much easier to find. While some bluetooth leash products use only one device to help locate missing items, all smartphones equipped with the Bringrr App, and all Bringrrs driving on the road have the ability to help find your item.
Simply plug Bringrr into your car and pair your phone via bluetooth, and every time you start your car, Bringrr will search for your phone. If your phone's not there, Bringrr notifies you with a friendly flash and sound. You can attach BringTags to the items you want to bring with you, like your wallet, backpack, laptop or just about anything else, and as soon as you start your car, Bringrr searches for your tagged items, too. If anything is missing, Bringrr will send a notification to your phone, specifying which tagged item you've left behind. Once you’ve tagged your items, you can create a schedule or sync your current Apple or Google Calendar and add the items you need everyday, or things you need for specific events. Outside of the car, you can use the Bringrr App to track down your misplaced tagged item by distance or sound, within a 50-150ft range. If you still can’t find your item, just mark the item as 'missing' on the App, this will silently and discreetly put the entire Bringrr community on the lookout for your tagged item.
When anyone with a Bringrr, or the Bringrr App on their phone, gets within range of your lost item, you will get a notification of its location; securely and anonymously. Your location is never shared with anyone else. Maintaining privacy and location data is our first priority.
The Bringrr App will be available for iOS, Android, and even Google Glass. With Google Glass, all of Bringrr's features come alive in front of your eyes. If Bringrr notifies that you’ve left something behind, Glass will show you what you forgot to bring. Assigning BringTags to your stuff is even easier with Glass. Just specify your item and the tag you want to use, and Glass takes a picture. If you misplace something, just ask Glass and you will be guided to its location.
