PIQ has announced the worlds most advanced multi-sport sensor platform. Capable of measuring over 3,000 different data points per second, and through 13 different dimensions, and already planned in over a dozen different sports, PIQ is making sport even more exciting.
Golf will be the first sport to have the PIQ sensor and platform fully integrated. As part of this exciting proposition PIQ has announced a global partnership with Mobitee, one of the world’s leading golf applications. PIQ and Mobitee are uniquely positioned to provide a golf offering that is the first complete connected wearable solution, transforming the golf experience.
“The combination of PIQ’s sensor technology with Mobitee’s golf software experience is going to inject a new dimension to the game of golf, not just for professionals, but for all golfers. Our vision is to utilize the latest wearable technology to improve the overall golf game for our customers while making it increasingly more fun at the same time,” said Cedric Mangaud, co-founder and CEO at PIQ.
Having just completed a successful fund raise of over $5m dollars, PIQ integrates the latest sensor technology NFC, BLE and cutting edge micro processing technology, PIQ incorporates 13 axes and accurately measures performance metrics such as velocity, height, air time, G force, amplitude, trajectory and others. It has been designed to be positioned in the ideal place for data collection whatever the sport. PIQ is a small, ultra-lightweight, waterproof and flexible multi-sport motion sensor connected to your smart device via BLE.
On Golf Display
Mobitee and PIQ comes bundled with an advanced PIQ multisport sensor and battery bank charger and is compatible with future PIQ sport products. It includes 18 NFC Club identification tags for each club and a clip for fastening the sensor to your golf glove. In addition, it provides unlimited access to the Mobitee and PIQ applications. Pair the sensor and attach the included NFC tags to each club and you are ready to go.
“Our customers are looking to use their Mobitee app without having to take out their phone out of their pocket and PIQ offers that now. This new user experience connects golfers to their game like never before.” said Stan Chapus, CEO at Mobitee.
Unique and Easy To Use Rangefinder
PIQ has created the lightest and sleekest GPS rangefinder that comfortably clips onto any golf glove and provides instant, easy to read yardage to the front, center and back of the green. The yardage is shown on a vibrant LED display that is even viewable in extreme sunshine.
Mobitee features over 35,000 golf courses worldwide, providing the 65 million golfers with accurate distances no matter what golf course he or she is playing. The app automatically detects the course and then displays hole-by-hole yardages based on the golfer’s proximity to the green.
Innovative and In-depth Swing Analysis
In addition to a rangefinder, PIQ captures the data of the player’s swing for every shot, including swing tempo, club head speed, and swing path. That information is then displayed in a 3-D swing analysis on the smartphone.
In addition, PIQ will track all shots and record yardages to give the golfer the ability to review every shot to analyze their distances with each club providing helpful averages over time for future club selection. PIQ with Mobitee also offers hole-by-hole flyover views, a scorecard calculation for all game modes, and golf course details.
Every Swing and Every Round
Golf should be fun which is why PIQ highlights the golfer’s best moments. No matter the skill level may be, a golfer has moments of brilliance and PIQ summarizes the best moments of the round including longest drive, best swing, score and other highlights that can be easily shared via social media and text messaging.
