Dario is a diabetes management system developed in Israel that provides outstanding usability and accessibility by integrating a pocket-sized glucometer with a mobile app and secure cloud computing. It replaces bulky personal glucometers and cumbersome data collection with an elegant and mobile diabetes management system based on your smartphone.
Dario comes with a meter that connects directly to the audio port of your smartphone and a cartridge that holds 25 test strips. It's easy to pull out a cartridge and insert a new one. An ultra-thin lancet is used for comfortable blood sampling then the app is used to analyze, compare, and update your results.
Dario is expected to be available in 2013, first in Europe and later in North America, following receipt of applicable regulatory approvals.
